News and Events (Veterinary Teaching Hospital, UNN).

In a bid to enhance clinical training and the quality of veterinary services rendered by the VTH and also meet up with the requirements for accreditation of the clinical aspects of the Veterinary programme, establishment of an in-house library for the VTH was initiated as the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Library and The University Main Library were far away from the VTH. The Director reached out for support from some international bodies and the fruits of these efforts were the recent donation of twenty (20) titles of books of relevance to veterinary clinical training by the Commonwealth Veterinary Association (CVA) Book Programme, Australia and twenty one books obtained by free subscription from the Publication Distribution Service of the Technical Centre for Agricultural Cooperation (CTA), Netherlands. The books arrived at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital UNN last month (October, 2015). In addition to the already received books, the Veterinary Teaching Hospital now has a permanent free annual subscription to new CTA books worth 200 credits, which translates to about 10 – 25 new books annually.
